| How to plan for next chapter : "1.First I take the day by day and put all the info into my chart (copy is attached): Bible, SS/Sci, Obs, field trips, health, character, creative writing, wisdom words, L.Arts... (Chart: Click Here) (Day By Day: Waiting for copyright permissions) For Penmanship, if I see a thought for today that I like, we use that for penmanship, if it is empty for the day I'll fill it in with the memory verse, or rewriting a creative writing lesson. 2. Then I go through the vol chapter - read the for your info (mark what I want to cover), pick vocab words (about 9 per week - we look up 3 per day for the first 3 days and review the for the rest of the week) 3. As I am filling it in, I notice additional books I need to order from the library and supplies to buy. 4. Then I pull out all my other books and start filling in the other subjects: Spelling, P2P for memory verse/penmanship 5. The music section has things like ballet, craft, play doh, composers, etc... 6. The health section also holds things like: workbooks on the Sci/S.S. topics, brainpop videos, etc.. 7.The manners section also holds things like manner lessons, care group, girl scouts, for your info... 8. I order items from the library and pick them up on Tuesdays. 9. I fill in some additional grammar worksheets if necessary. 10. I keep Phonics and Math empty and fill in what we accomplish each day. My oldest has finished her phonics program so we just fill in what story she reads each day. 11. Look for saved weaver notes on chap. 12. Mark field trips on calendars Daily, I look for the topics we are studying for worksheets on the internet (i.e. Calvary chapel for coloring pages) I pull out books regarding to our topic Introduce next chap with activity/trip Give test on chapter just finished
So much more of it all flows now. Less thinking involved. It's more fill in the blank."

Weekly Planner: this one only
includes L.Arts and Math - just in case you need to turn something in to
the state. In VA, all they can ask for is these two subjects. This is
the schedule I used for my first year. I kept everything else written in
