About us

Helloooo and welcome! We’re so glad you’ve dropped in to visit us; we hope you enjoy our hospitality - web style! Grab yourself a cuppa, put your feet up and relax. We are a family of eight (soon to be nine  :o) at this point in our lives which includes Bill, Marion, Kira, Maddy, Isaac, Aggie, Levi and Josiah living in Victoria, Australia.

We have recently begun attending a Vineyard Church in Mitcham called *Suburban Community Vineyard Church (SCVC). It's a small church of about 25 adults and about as many children, which has only been operating for about 18 months. We currently meet in a Community House. To find out more about it, please click *HERE .

This year of 2008 for us includes Bill working for *WORD Bookstores 4 days a week managing their I.T. needs. In addition to this he is running our business Grandy Zine Systems part time which involves designing databases and now, also, installing and customizing products we have developed (see: HuRMan).

Marion’s first ministry is at home blessing her family and homeschooling the children using the Weaver Curriculum as our main source of study. Marion tries to cook for the family using the OAMC (Once a month cooking) approach where possible and it takes a lot of stress out of the daily main meals! Realistically, once a fortnight cooking tends to fall closer to the "do-able" plan! She’s also a *flybaby (warning: visiting this site could transform your home!) who is fluttering successfully, most of the time (if you’re unfamiliar with this term, be bold and click on the link and solve the mystery)..

As for the kids, they are a precious, exciting, intriguing and wonderful part of our life, truly God’s blessing. God is head of our family and we depend upon His guidance for every part of our lives. This journey is not one we would want to make without Him!

How we feel about Parenting and Marriage

Our desire for our parenting years is to be constantly growing in our character and God’s wisdom, to be learning the unique personalities, strengths and weaknesses and learning styles of each of our children and discipling them accordingly. Our mission as parents is to raise children who understand what it is to have a relationship with God and who have a passion for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our desire for our marriage is to constantly seek God’s direction for us, to remain best friends, to encourage each other in our respective, personal journeys with God and to always want to encourage the other person to be the best that God knows they can be.

All of these things can only happen if we remain close to God, humble with each other and very "deliberate" about every choice we make, every response with make to each other and to the children. Praise God for grace! For without it we couldn’t do any of these things nearly well enough!
