Handover Database

Handing over a ward to a new shift can be a stressful time - the status of each patient needs to be recorded along with treatment, dietary and discharge details. Wrong information can result in confusion, inconvenience and even danger to patients. Keeping paperwork up to date can be time consuming also, taking up a valuable resource.

Our Handover Database handles all these tasks simply and conveniently, and helps avoid unclear or inaccurate information by giving users a template to work within. Information can be retrieved quickly and intuitively, and can be printed in different formats.

The Patient form shown above, is where Treatment, Dietary and Discharge Plan details can be entered for each patient.

Below is the Beds form, which simplifies bed assignments and allows staff to look up information quickly by bed number. Clicking on the glasses to the right of a name will look up that person's details on the Patient form. If a patient moves beds, simply clear their name using the red button to the right, find their new bed, then select the patient from the list.

At the end of a shift, the handover report is only a couple of clicks away. It contains all the relevant care information for each patient, able to be reviewed at a glance. The database also has a Diet List, which enables staff to print and send relevant information to the kitchen with a minimum of fuss.
