Please take careful note that ***THESE BOOKS ARE OPTIONAL*** but are listed to aid the teacher in finding appropriate books. And of course there's nothing quite like having the ease of a library at home! The Milliken history books are probably the most important although that will depend on the age groups your working with, they do seem to work better with the older students. For 5th grade and older, unless you have a large home library, having the recommended resources will certainly reduce time devoted to finding alternatives.
